My right to write

Writer's picture: Elie AssiElie Assi

This week’s session was definitely a challenge! The Questioneer’s kids challenged themselves in this class to sit down and write a short story made up of 1 paragraph for a period of 2 hrs. It was tiring for them and exciting simultaneously.

I asked each one of them to sit down on a private table and grab a paper and a pen. They were amazed by the fact that this was the first time of me asking them to do such a thing on an individual level.

So the main task was to think of a certain story and once done they have to tell us the story while standing up! In this case, dropping the shyness and elevating their self confidence!

They really surprised me of how much they took this exercise seriously and silence was heard in class. The Questioneer’s kids as usual, met my expectations and each one of them created beautiful stories and had a really good experience while reading out loud.
